Susan is Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Ridgewells. She joined the company in 1986 as a sales representative, and purchased it with her business partners in 1997. Over the past decades, Susan has been instrumental in the expansion and growth of the company's portfolio. Among her many achievements was the creation of Ridgewells' Major Events division; in 1989, she was integral in winning the bid for the PGA Championship in Chicago, marking Ridgewells' first outside-the-Beltway event. In December 2002, Susan and her business partners formed Haute Catering, and in March 2008, Purple Tie by Ridgewells.

Susan has received a number of industry and community awards, including being named of of the Washington Business Journal's Power 100, as well as earning her spot as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Washington Board of Trade (GWBOT), Junior Achievement, Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School, and Marymount University - where she recently closed out charing a $40 million capital campaign raise. She is an active member of the World President's Organization (WPO), and the Economic Club of Washington, D.C.

In May, 2019, Susan was awarded her Doctor of Humane Letters from her alma mater, Marymount University, in recognition of her life's achievements. Susan resides in the Washington, D.C. area, and has two sons.
